Last weekend I dug a pond, this weekend (having recovered from my efforts enough to be able to walk again) we bought some pond snails, an aquatic grass and some pond weed but after only one week we already have several insects and a long swimmy worm thing in the pond. EEk and Crikey. One of my earliest Dr Who Memories was The Green Death it bloody terrified me as a (I guess about) five year old. I was therefore a little reticent to go home yesterday as my wife warned me about these beasts.
