My 1st attempt:

There once was a chicken called Barci
who thought that being eaten was harsh, he
  did not want to be
  somebody’s tea
unless in Nando’s peri peri with parsley

My 2nd attempt:

There once was a chicken called Barci
who went to Nando’s because he was classy
  but disaster occurred
  unto this poor bird
I had him, with sweetcorn, for tea

My 3rd go:

There once was a chicken called Barci
who went to Nando’s because he was classy
  He wanted some spice
  but take my advice it’ll be “on” you, not in your tummy

My 4th go:

There once was a chicken called Barci
Who went to Nando’s ‘cause he’s classy
  He wanted some spice
  said macho peas & rice
but skip the Chicken it’s just not for me
